Pottery on the Wheel:

This hands-on, two-day workshop will focus on utilitarian ceramics with specific purposes, including mugs, bakers, and lidded jars. We’ll create forms on the wheel and then alter them through the addition and subtraction of clay.
Basic wheel throwing skills required.
There will be a 30’ lunch break. Please bring a boxed lunch.

In this one-day hands-on workshop, we will discuss the general history and basic raku firing techniques. No previous experience is necessary. There will be ample time for participants to glaze their work using the raku glazes provided for the workshop.
Participants should bring 3 bisque pieces no larger than 10” tall by 6” wide for the firing. Space is limited to 8 participants.
Workshop is weather-dependent: if we cancel for any reason full refunds will be given. There will be a 30min. lunch break. Please bring a boxed lunch.
